European Senior Tour Pros to take on the kids

In Junior Clinic at the Forest of Arden

As part of the build up to the European Senior Masters, three of the tour professionals will be hosting a junior clinic at the Forest of Arden for sixteen lucky, local kids.

They will have the opportunity to tee it up with tournament host Peter Baker, Gary Wolstenholme and Barry Lane.

The three players will bring a wealth of experience with them to share with the young hopefuls.

Peter Baker has won nine events in total, including three European Tour events, and represented GB&I in the Ryder Cup, where he picked up three out of four points in the losing 1993 side, when he also beat Corey Pavin in the singles.

Barry Lane first played on the European Tour in 1982, and went on to claim five European Tour wins, and six European Senior Tour victories.

Meanwhile, Gary Wolstenholme is famed for his long and illustrious Amateur career, winning the Amateur Championship in 1991 and 2003, and playing in six Walker Cup teams.  Gary actually turned Pro at the age of 48, and has gone on to win three times on the European Senior Tour.

Between the three of them, there’s not much they don’t know about any aspects of the game, and the juniors will get the chance to play against the Pros, with handicaps, so that will keep everyone on their toes!

At GolfPunk we're right behind great initiaves like this that help bring new golfers into the game, and we will be there to cover it and maybe learn a couple of things whilst we are at it.
