Dustin Johnson holds 36 hole lead at Oakmont

Landry yet to start 2nd round

Dustin Johnson played both his first two rounds of the weather-hit US Open on Saturday and enjoyed decent weather on his way to shooting 67-69 and now holds the clubhouse lead at Oakmont.

Sergio Garcia shot a 70 in round two to stay two under at halfway, alongside American Scott Piercy (70).

Lee Westwood, who posted a three-under 67 when he completed his first round early on Friday, is, like Landry, among half of the field who are scheduled to play their second and third rounds today.

After missing several good opportunities, Johnson birdied the 6th during a stress-free round in which he hit fairway after fairway and green after green.

"I'm in pretty good shape, so the physical part's no problem," said DJ after completing 36 holes in a day. (What's his problem? We're doing 72 in a day next Tuesday for The Longest Day Challenge! – Ed)

"But mentally you've got to make sure you stay sharp all day, because you can't go to sleep on any shot out here. I hit so many good putts today that I thought were going in, and burned the edge or lipped out. That's just how it goes, these greens are tough."

Garcia made a superb scrambling par with a 50-foot putt at his last hole, the ninth.
