David Lingmerth holds onto lead

On moving day at the Quicken Loans National

29–year–old Swede David Lingmerth shot a disappointing three–over par round of 73 after shooting two 65s in the opening two rounds.

But it was just enough for him to maintain a one-shot lead at TPC Potomac. as he looks for just his second win on the PGA Tour.

Lingmerth got off to a mixed start. He bogeyed the first, but rebounded with a birdie on the second, only then to double bogey the par 4 fourth.

He dropped shots on the 10th and 17th, and had a single back nine birdie on the 14th, but with a seven–under total of 203, he remains one shot ahead of Daniel Summerhays, who posted a even par 70.

Lingmerth is looking for just his second win on the PGA Tour, after his first tour victory at the 2015 Memorial Tournament. If he does get over the line, he will have gone wire to wire for the win.
