Camilo Villegas gets tattooed

To help his mental game

Camilo Villegas been struggling with the mental side of his game, so he’s got himself some new tattoos to help keep his focus.

On his left wrist he has a tattoo that says, “Attitude,” and on his right wrist he has the phrase, “Positive Energy.”

“It’s a little reminder - that’s all I can control. Trust me, it’s a lot easier said than done when things aren’t going your way, but the last few weeks I’ve felt more comfortable,” he said.

“It’s a crazy game but I’ve been feeling a lot more comfortable, more composed,” he said. “I’m trying to realize the situation is there and look forward to not caring so much about the outcome.”

So how have his new tats translated into his actual game?

Well, he’s World Number 424, and has played 28 events this season, and made 12 cuts. And he’s in second place at the RSM Classic at Sea Island Georgia, so something is clearly working at last!
