Travelers Championship Day 2

So Bubba Watson has had just 53 putts in two rounds at the Travlelers Championship. The years second most ridiculously named tournament, (come on the Waste Management Open), have got the greens right, The TPC Highlands River Course getting them spot on, after the catastrophe at Chambers Bay last week getting them so wrong. “These greens are perfect. These greens are running so smoothly.” His second round 67 gave him a two shot lead over Brian Harman, Carl Petterson and unheralded Brian Stuard who until the 17th was within a shot of the lead. “It's just my mind right now,” Bubba said. “Over the putts, I'm thinking well.”

Jason Gore is at 8 under, and if he can have a good finish this week and next, the top four player otherwise not exempt he’ll qualify for the Open at St Andrews.  “I've played professional golf for 18 years now and I've never been to Europe,” Gore said. “So that just blows my mind. It blows a lot of people's mind. But playing at St. Andrews, that would be a lot of fun, but we've got a long way to go.”

Top Brit is top 50 all time GolfPunk, Paul Casey, shooting a 68 for a five under total, and tied 20th spot.
