67 Million To 1 Shot (s)

Scottish ace goes ballistic

67,000,000 to 1 shot!! 26 year old mountain rescue golfer stuns playing partners with two aces in four holes!!!

Don't point those things at us

And some people have never had one hole in one?! Not me though, I had one at Princes a couple of months ago. I was standing on the 8th on the Shore Course and one of the lads said it looks like a six iron and... Oh, right, this isn't about me. Anyway, Ewan McKinnon defied odds of 67million-1 with two holes in one in a single round. But he wasn’t satisfied and revealed his frustration at failing by one shot to match his own course record. That's some attitude, mister.

When he's not upsetting everyone by playing nine holes in 25 shots, Ewan, 26, can be found rescuing people from mountains in Scotland, so we'll let him off this time. His handicap is plus one (explains a bit), and he hit his double on Saturday at Corrie Golf Club, Arran, in the Whisky Cup. First he struck an ace at the 124-yard fifth hole. Then pals Jimmy McConnachie and Ray Jefferies watched him repeat it at the eighth.

Wowzers, looks rubbish doesn't it?

Ewan finished the first nine in 25, six under, and the round eight under on 54. He said: “It started with a two and things just got better. “The only frustration was failing to keep up the momentum," he moaned. "Which meant I was one short of equaling my record round.”

Why I oughtta! Ewan was amazed when a web search revealed the odds for a round. “It didn’t have a price for nine holes, but it must be astronomical,” he said.

Well, we've worked it out for you Ewan. Taking into account the weather conditions on the day, humidity, cross wind ration, the socks you were wearing and the fact that we're all a bit annoyed about this story, the actual odds were only 2-1, so no big deal really.

Only joking, you're obviously great and that was some feat!
