40 leading Irish courses unite to promote golf across Ireland

As The Open returns to Royal Portrush

40 of Ireland's leading golf clubs and resorts are coming together next week in Belfast, brought to you by Golf Ireland in association with Fáilte Ireland.

The 2019 Golf Ireland Golf Promotion Night will take place at the Europa Hotel on Thursday, February 7 from 6-9pm, and it’s free for all golfers.

Ireland is among the world nations with the most golf courses per capita and the Golf Ireland Golf Promotion Night has been created for golfers to learn about the opportunities to book a golf trip to some of the country’s top courses.

Galway Bay Golf Resort, Dundrum House Hotel, Golf and Leisure Resort and Greencastle Golf Club are amongst the attendees, alongside the likes of Greg Norman’s Doonbeg, now owned by one D. Trump.

But don’t let that deter you. There will be a golf simulator in place, and the chance to win some great prizes. So, if you’re in the area, rock on up. It’s going to be a massive year for Golf in Ireland – both North and South – as The Open returns to Royal Portrush for the first time The Open has been played in Northern Ireland for 68 years.

The eyes of the golfing world will be on Ireland this year, and here’s your first chance to get properly stuck into all the amazing golf that Ireland has to offer.
