Club golfer scores $1,000,000.00 hole in one!

Watch as club golfer aces his way to a cool million dollars!

Pine Hills GC has a very cool way of rewarding its members. If any member, who is also in its Hole-In-One Club, makes an ace, that golfer gets a golf day and dinner in their honor. One such celebration last week celebrated Reed Schmitt’s ace from earlier this year.

Schmitt also bought hole-in-one insurance, so the five golfers who were closest to the pins on the course’s par-3s all had a chance to win $1m at the 167-yard par-3 9th hole later that evening.

Somewhat bizarrely, three golfers made aces during their rounds on the same day.  Dan Olson, Keith Robel and Jon Rindt all holed out during their rounds to secure three of the five spots in the $1 million shoot-out. Anderson, a 7.1 handicap who knocked it to four feet on the par-3 5th, grabbed one of the other two spots. Then, this happened...

“I put a good swing on a six-iron,” Anderson, 50, told D’Amato. “When I hit it, I thought, ‘That’s pretty good.’ It went behind the hole and started rolling backward and you could hear the crowd buzzing and then it goes in and the crowd goes nuts.”

Unbelievable.
