Ryder Cup stars Andy Sullivand and Chris Wood are big mates. There's a lot of ribbing goes on. You know, golf banter: "You've got a swing like a rusty gate"/"Does your husband play?/"You've dropped your lipstick", that sort of thing.
It's like Little & Large never retired!
And now their capering has resulted in a rather interesting bet. Whoever performs better in the Desert Swing (Abu Dhabi, Quatar Masters and Dubai Desert Classic), gets to design a head cover for the other player. Who has to have it on his bag for a month.
When the cover/covers have been used for the 4 events both players will sign the cover which will then be auctioned off for a charity of the winners choice.
Going into today's Omega Dubai Desert Classic, Woody leads Sully by €18346.
