FedeX Cup: Jason Day replaces Col Swatton!!

Another legendary looper bites the dust....

It seems like the world's top golfers are rapidly losing their minds. And their caddies.

Phil and Bones break up, then Rory relieves JP of his duties and now, now Col Swatton has hung up his looper strap and will no longer caddie for Jason Day.

"See how Bones and Lefty get on so well? That's just like us, they'll never split up..."

The news was broken by the Golf Channel's George Savaricas, and it has also been revealed that Day will have friend and former high school roomie Luke Reardon on the bag for this week's BMW Championship.

Day first met Swatton in Australia when he was just 12. Day's father had recently died and Swatton, who was the golf coach at Jason's school, took him under his wing, and gave him much needed stability and focus. Their subsequent relationship is the thing of legend. Together, they set about conquering the world of golf, culminating in Day's 2015 PGA Championship and rise to World Number 1.

"I lose my dad at 12 and then meet Colin, and to have him walk the journey with me, have him walk up the 18th hole with me, was just a special, special experience I could never forget," Day said after winning the 2015 PGA at Whistling Straits. "It's just an amazing feeling I have."

"... Aaaannndd, you're sacked..."

So how long will Reardon last? Jason is currently 28th in the FedEx Cup and needs to produce a good week to beat the Top 30 cull if he is to make it to the Tour Championship next week.

“I’m going to kind of just see how the rest of the year goes with whoever is on the bag, see if I can actually get something going,” Day said. “If that doesn’t work out, if I don’t like the way I work with these guys, then maybe a bag shift for next year.”

It has to be said that since Phil and Rory have changed their long term caddies, they have not produced the goods. Let's see how Day gets on without Swatton. Swatton remains as day's coach.
