Scotty Cameron Unveil New Phantom Mallets

Building on the success of their putters in 2025

New Scotty Cameron Phantom mallet putters have begun appearing on the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour, with next-generation Phantom 5, 7 and 9R head designs spotted at the 2025 season-opening Sony Open in Hawaii and Dubai Invitational. The new tour prototypes offer a range of neck and shaft configurations tailored to different putting strokes.
The latest Phantom designs build on extensive tour feedback and the continued success of players using the mallet line. Recent winners gaming Phantom models include Russell Henley, Justin Thomas, Cameron Young, Richard Mansell, Nicolai von Dellingshausen, Michael Brennan, Ryan Gerard and the 2013 U.S. Open champion.
Phantom mallets continue to appeal to players due to their high-MOI designs, which offer increased stability and forgiveness, along with expanded alignment options created by the larger mallet footprint.
Young, a long-time Phantom user, has played the putter throughout his PGA TOUR career, experimenting with multiple head shapes and neck configurations. During the 2025 season, he switched within the Phantom 9R family to increase toe flow, a move that coincided with the strongest putting performance of his career, finishing inside the top 10 in several key putting statistics.
Further Phantom mallet developments are expected to roll out across the professional tours as the 2025 season progresses.
