What was in Phil Mickelson's bag for his Pebble Beach victory?

Callaway Staff Professional Phil Mickelson claimed his 44th career win at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am with the help of Callaway’s revolutionary Triple Track and Epic Flash Technology.

Phil used the Triple Track Technology on his Chrome Soft X Golf Ball that also features graphene in its Dual SoftFast Core, one of the strongest materials in the world.

Triple Track Technology which is available to consumers on the new E•R•C Soft Golf Ball utilises Vernier Hyper Acuity, the same visual technology used to land planes on aircraft carriers. It helps to improve alignment compared to a regular side stamp aid and the Triple Track lines on the ball particularly help improve putting accuracy.

Phil surged into the lead at Pebble Beach on Sunday with a powerful display of driving, using his Callaway Rogue Sub Zero, and a legendary short game display using his own-design Callaway PM Grind 19 wedges and an Odyssey Versa #9 Putter.

In a weather-affected event, the 48-year-old carded a bogey-free final round over the Pebble Beach Golf Links, including seven birdies, to claim his 5th win in this tournament. The event also marked the five-time Major winner making his 500th career cut.

Neil Howie, Managing Director of Callaway EMEA, said: “Phil is a legend of the game but he continues to recognise how technology can give him the edge in tournament play.

“His short game has always been his strength, but to see one of the world’s best realising how our visual Triple Track Technology can help him, highlights the opportunity it can give amateur players at every level too.”

Phil also used the tournament to debut the new Callaway Epic Flash Sub Zero Fairway Wood (13.5°). This new fairway wood features innovative Flash Face Technology - Callaway created Flash Face using Artificial Intelligence and machine learning.

These fairway woods also feature Jailbreak Technology and a Hyper Speed Face Cup to promote more ball speed.

Helped by Phil, Odyssey, the #1 Putter in Golf, was also the #1 Putter Brand on every major worldwide Tour last weekend - US PGA, LPGA, Champions, Web.com and European Tour winners all trusting the brand.
