The Great Big Bertha!!!

Back With A Bang

So we told you Kiradech Aphibarnrat won with a new Callaway prototype driver. Well, this is the beast in question – an all new Great Big Bertha. Callaway claim it represents the next frontier in driver design, and it’s built to get the most distance for everyone.

The science bods at Callaway have optimised the multi-material design to generate more clubhead speed through aerodynamics. The combination of aerodynamic head shape and multi-material lightweight design are the keys to generating higher clubhead speeds.

A wide range of driver weight classes are available to suit every swing type, from 295 to 325g. This, combined with the fact that there are four different shaft weight options, means there is the right available set up to suit every swing.

R*MOTO technology provides the structure for a thinner face which leads to high ball speeds on both center and off-center hits. There’s a 10g sliding weight on the perimeter of the clubhead, which is there to add stability. You can position the weight in various positions for more dispersion control in order to hit your drives straighter. There are virtually unlimited draw and fade options and, key for most of us, more additional draw bias than ever before. According to Callaway, forgiveness is not sacrificed.

You can quickly slide the 10g weight to any position you want on the track. The Optifit hosel lets you choose from 8 different configurations to tune loft, lie, and face angle.

The Driver will cost £369 and is released on 18/9/2015
