Ping Sign Aaron Baddeley To Equipment Deal

Can he finally fulfil his talent?

Ping have signed Aaron Baddeley to an equipment contract starting immediately. The US born Aussie has been using Ping woods recently, so the signing was an obvious one for both parties.

“I’m thrilled to be representing a brand that enjoys the reputation it does. I know from first-hand experience how good PING equipment is, and I’m excited to be part of the PING family. This feels like a really good step in my career and I’m extremely motivated for the upcoming season to continue the success I enjoyed last season. With PING clubs I have a lot of confidence I can do that.”

Baddeley is one of the game's great under performing talents. He won the Australian Open as an amateur back in 1999, and then defended after turning pro the following year. He's got four wins on the PGA Tour including his first in in 5 years at the Barbasol Championship and is one of the best putters in the game. If Baddeley was to win a major it wouldn't surprise us, but we aren't expecting it anytime soon either.

While traditionally Baddeley has played forged bladed irons, we've been so impressed with the new iBlade's that we think they will be a good fit. We think you'll see a lot of them in play on tour in 2017.
