KBS launches Tour graphite iron shaft

First graphite iron shaft that flies the same as steel

KBS, the most innovative steel golf shaft brand that built its reputation on precision iron shafts for Tour players, is launching a new Tour Graphite Iron shaft (TGI).

A decade on from introducing itself to the game and changing the way irons performed, KBS has designed the TGI shaft - the first Graphite iron shaft designed by the brand - on the same bend profile as the pioneering KBS Tour steel shaft and performing like a steel equivalent. It features optimised weight and flex choices for all golfers to gain maximum playability and performance, producing a mid-high launch angle with low spin for ultimate control.

“We’re delighted to introduce a Tour calibre Graphite iron shaft that plays like a KBS Tour steel shaft in all aspects of consistency, distance and control,” said Kim Braly, R&D and Tour operations director.

“We’ve made a significant investment in our R&D department following the successful launch of the Tour Graphite Hybrid shaft last year and we’re confident the Tour Graphite Iron shaft will have the same impact in all categories of the game,” he added.

The KBS Tour Graphite Iron shaft is available in various flex options from Regular; Regular Plus; Stiff; Stiff Plus; and X-Flex in a .370 parallel tip in 50-80 gram weights, with a Matte/Gloss finish and a .355 Taper tip, in 90-110 gram weights in a Matte finish.

Other iron shafts available in the KBS range include the Tour; Tour V; Tour 90; Tour 105; S-Taper; C-Taper; C-Taper Lite; Max-80; 560 & 580 Series; FLT Series; and the Tour Graphite Hybrid, plus wedge options ranging from the Hi-Rev 2.0; 610 wedge; and Tour wedge.

Custom fitting of KBS Tour Graphite Iron is available now at selected dealers for an RRP starting at £28 per shaft. More details can be found at www.kbsgolfshafts.com
