LPGA player to donate winnings

To victims of Hurricane Harvey

Stacy Lewis will donate any winnings she makes at the Cambia Portland Classic to the victims of Hurricane Harvey, and the motivation seems to be working.

Stacy is from the Houston area and is all too painfully aware of the havoc wrecking by the storm on her home city.

And this extra motivation seems to be doing the trick nicely, as Stacy is joint leader after the second round, alongside of Brooke Henderson and In Gee Chun.

She opened with a 70, but went low in the second round with a 64, which was the best score of the day.

With 11 LPGA Tour wins already under her belt, Lewis commented: "It would honestly probably be one of the most special. It would probably be up there with a major. That was the goal to start the week, was to take a big check home. That's still the goal. Now I'm in a good spot to do that."

It’s amazing what a bit of positive motivation can bring to your game, and we will certainly be rooting for Stacy to bring home the bacon.
