James Heath to wear TravisMathew on tour

First European player to wear brand

GolfPunk OG James Heath, the incredibly talented Surrey golfer, Challenge Tour winner, and perfect clothes horse, is the first European signed to wear TravisMathew by the brand's UK & Ireland distributor Premier Licensing.

Currently 19th on the Challenge Tour order of Merit, he's primed to get his European Tour card back if he can finish in the top 15 after the  Road to Oman Finals. He won the SSE Scottish Hydro Challenge earlier this season, his first win on the Challenge Tour for over 10 years, before qualifying for the Open Championship at Royal Troon.

He will wear a selection of the brands apparel from both SS16 and Fall16 collections as he competes on The European Challenge Tour in 2016.

On teaming up with Premier Licensing, Heath said: “I’m delighted to be working with the guys from TravisMathew. I had seen their products on the PGA Tour and always wondered when they would be available in the U.K. I’m honoured to be the first European player to wear the brand’s products in conjunction with the guys at Premier Licensing.”

Heath enjoyed a hugely successful amateur career, winning both the English Amateur Championship and Lytham Trophy in 2004, before joining the Challenge Tour in 2005. TravisMathew's  PGA Tour staff includes Keegan Bradley, Luke List, Chris Kirk, Charley Hoffman, Stuart Appleby, Sam Saunders, Andres Gonzalez and Patrick Cantlay, among others.

Premier Licensing's Ross Methven had this to say about the signing. "We believe that James is the perfect fit for TravisMathew and are confident that the exposure he will bring us on tour going forwards will take the TravisMathew SS17 collection to an even wider audience.”
