Sweden’s Caroline Hedwall added a two-under-par bogey-free round of 70 to yesterday’s effort of 65 to maintain a narrow one-shot lead at nine-under-par from England’s Meghan MacLaren heading into the final round at the OMEGA Dubai Moonlight Classic. Luckily tomorrow’s final round doesn’t begin until 5 pm (local time), giving her adequate time to turn in her papers before the deadline.

The big man from Northern Ireland won by a single shot from Jim Furyk and defending champion Bernhard Langer at the TimberTech Champions in Boca Raton, Florida. It was the first victory for Clarke since his Open triumph at Royal St, George's in 2011.
Brian Gay rolled in his long birdie putt at the first playoff hole at the Bermuda Championship to beat a man almost half his age and become the oldest winner on the PGA Tour since Davis Love III in 2015. "Well, this is absolutely insane," said Gay after his round. "I’ve been playing awful since Covid… it’s been a struggle. I’ve been trying to work hard and get back."

Birthday girl, Ally McDonald grabbed her first LPGA Tour victory at the LPGA Drive On Championship at Reynolds Lake Oconee. The 28-year-old shot a final round three-under 69 to finish on sixteen-under-par and win by a single shot from world number five Danielle Kang. Mina Harigae of America and Spain's Carlota Ciganda shared the fourth spot after rounds of 67 and 69 respectively.
Ally McDonald shot a four-under-par 68 on Friday to take a one-stroke lead into the weekend in the LPGA Drive On Championship at Lake - Reynolds Oconee. Danielle Kang sits in second alongside Bianca Pagdanganan of the Philippines on nine-under-par. "I’m trying to just execute and stick to my game plan,” McDonald said. “I think I’m in a pretty good position for the weekend,” Kang said.
The European Tour’s South African Swing will continue next month when the Alfred Dunhill Championship is contested from November 26-29.
