Costa Daurada's October sun continues to entice golfers to the region

Following Spanish success in the Ryder Cup, with Sergio Garcia becoming the highest points scorer in the event’s history and fellow Spaniard Jon Rahm taking down Tiger Woods in the singles, the limelight returns to one of Europe’s fastest growing golf destinations, Costa Daurada, as it greets golfers eager to exploit its October sunshine.

Costa Daurada experiences average highs of 24°c and 10 hours of daily sunshine in October, allowing golfing vacationers to take advantage of late-season sunshine, particularly desirable for those experiencing an Autumnal chill in parts of Western and Northern Europe. As well as shorter golfing getaways, October also sees an increase in the region’s long-stay visitors with packages available at many of the region’s courses including Lumine Meditérranea Beach and Golf Community and Club de Golf Bonmont.

After a hugely successful period of welcoming golfers from across the continent, Costa Daurada now experiences more than 5 times the number of rounds played than in 2013, facilitated by its impressive selection of excursions, including gastronomy, wine tasting, art, culture, and adventure trips to name but a few.

Amongst the off-course October excitement in Costa Daurada is Tarragona’s human towers competition and the RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada. The best human tower groups will be showing off their prowess in a bullring in front of thousands of spectators.

Meanwhile, the rally car race will see some of the finest drivers on the continent battle it out to score points for both the FIA World Rally Championship and the FIA Junior Rally Championship.
