Day 3 wrap from the Ricoh Women's British Open

She's how many under??!!!

Flawless In-Kyung Kim braves perfect storm to lead Ricoh Women's British Open by six Shots.

In-Kyung Kim will enjoy a six shot lead going into the final day of the Ricoh Women’s British Open at Kingsbarns. The South Korean was flawless during her third round extending her lead over her nearest rival Georgia Hall.

"I thought you said Kingsbarns was the Riviera of the North?!"

The pressure began to show on Hall as her good work was undone on the 17th. A double bogey meat that slipped further behind despite showing moments of brilliance with an eagle on the fifth and three birdies in a row on 13, 14 and 15. However, In Kyung Kim’s flawless round of 66 means that she will be the one sleeping better tonight.

It was Kim’s consistency, even during the brutal conditions that allowed her to build on her lead. The ability to grind out a score like this in those conditions should not be underestimated. Others stumbled in the conditions.

Kaboom. Georgia lets rip at the 15th...

Lexi Thompson failed to make ground on the leader eventually tumbling down the leaderboard from a tie for second to a tie for 13th. Her one over par, 73, showing just how bad it was out there at times.

Whilst some struggled in the afternoon rain it was those that had the best of the weather early in the day that made major moves. Inbee Park, Stacy Lewis and Caroline Masson made the most of their opportunities to make an early push.

Lexi ponders exactly what she'll need to do on Sunday... break the course record of 64 probably, and then pray...

However,  In-Kyung Kim had too much for the field. She mastered the conditions in ways that others couldn’t When the weather was good, she made her birdies and when it got rough on the back nine, she still made her birdies. If anything it was the perfect round in a near perfect storm.
