What Butch Harmon doesn't know about world number one Dustin Johnson's swing isn't worth knowing. We all know that. But it's what Butch knows about DJ"s mental aptitude that we're interested in today. Specifically how he handles pressure.
Now, Butch is usually good for a quote but this is a doozy. Asked what he thought DJ handles the big moments, Butch gave us some pure gold.
"Whatdya mean you're not playing unless you can have a wheelbarrow?..."
Appearing on the Vegas Stats & Information Network to preview next week’s U.S. Open at Erin Hills, Butch said this: “When Dustin Johnson goes to the first tee he’s got to take his balls in a wheelbarrow; he’s not afraid of anything.”
"They're big, DJ, I'll give you that..."
So know you know. It's all about the size of your wheelbarrow requirements. If you can get to the first tee using nothing nothing more than a bucket to transport your genitalia, you may want to consider a different sport.
