Why Russell Knox should play Ryder Cup

Here's Sam Torrance's thinking


Sam Torrance writes a regular column for our friends over at City Am, and in his latest piece for them he has made a very persuasive case for Russell Knox making the team. 

Part of that case is that he should have qualified anyway but for a technicality. Knox wasn’t registered as a European Tour member when he claimed his landmark win in China late last year. Had he been, he would have enough Ryder Cup points by now to forget about needing a wild card.
