Chubbs the Alligator has been spotted out and about on his local golf course at Buffalo Creek after not having been seen for two whole years.

Named after a character in Happy Gilmore, the 15-foot alligator was spotted by golfer Sage Stryczny, who posted this video.

Speaking to WFLA, Stryczny said: “He was a beast. Me and my dad were about to hit off the tee on a par 3 and we saw him laying right on the green.

“We were trying to golf, so we were within 50 feet of him after we hit our shots.

"He took a lot of rests. My dad says he’s never seen anything like it in all the years golfing.

“It was definitely a cool sight to see.”
