Minjee Lee drops a bomb

Ever had a hole in one? It's a truly great feeling. Editor Tim made one last year and we all went batshit crazy. Eagles are pretty awesome too, but we don't think we will ever manage to make an albatross, the rarest of golfing birds. Minjee Lee managed an albatross with an ace last night! Is that golf Inception?
Aces are nothing new. We see them all the time.Getting one on a Par-4? From 275 yards? Now THAT is something truly remarkable. Heck of a shot, Minjee Lee!

The Australian, a former world number one amateur, and a winner in her rookie year on tour last year, aced the 16th hole at Aviara during the Kia Classic. 275 yards, downhill, Lee drew a five wood to the front of the green before seeing it roll up to the cup. She didn't see it go in but she did have this to say.
“First albatross. First hole in one. I can’t put it into words. I’ll just say it’s pretty cool.”
Lee was wrong, it's very cool. Until this year, there had never been a hole in one on a par four. This is the second in two months. Ha Na Jung managed this one back in at the Pure Silk Bahamas Classic
