Rory McIlroy 'weak as a kitten' in China

But Russell Knox's wife is a superstar!!!!

Rory's food poisoning trauma at the start of the week clearly has him still feeling as weak as the proverbial kitten, as he shot a level par 72 to end day two a whopping 10 shots behind leader Kevin Kisner.

Leader Kevin Kisner whiles away a delay in China by making unfortunate faces, narrowly avoiding a major international incident...

Russell Knox has a cracking day, shooting a second round seven-under 65 to move to 12 under and two off leader Kevin Kisner, who carded a blistering 66. Not bad for Knoz, especially as he had to urgently rearrange his travel and accommodation plans as he only found out he would be making his WGC debut while playing the CIMB Classic last week.

The 30-year-old from Inverness heaped praise on his wife Andrea for stepping up and making the necessary arrangements - and also stepping in as a temporary caddie.

Russell Knox's wife Andrea had to step in as emergency caddie after all the travel chaos. Looks like a nice lad...

"My wife was a superstar and she filled out all the forms for us," said Knox. "While we were playing on Friday she took all the stuff to the Chinese embassy in Kuala Lumpur and had it processed. We flew here on Tuesday morning but my caddie didn't have proof of accommodation so he was a day behind us. So when we got here my wife caddied for me!

"We got a stand bag from the pro here and chucked the clubs in and played the quickest practice round ever and she complained heavily for the last nine holes."

Yeah, well  wouldn't be bringing that up again any time soon if you know what's good for you Russ!! Good work fella and Great Work Andrea!!

News for the English amongst us sees Matthew Fitzpatrick highest-placed on seven under, Ross Fisher and Tommy Fleetwood a shot further behind, and Paul Casey, James Morrison and Danny Willett are five under.

Paul Casey deep in thought. Probably wondering if he'll win a GP Staunchie award this year...

World ranked number two Jordan Spieth had a mixed round of four birdies and four bogeys as the American finished with a 72 as he tumbled down the leaderboard.
