Porsche European Open Day 2

Scwartzel in hunt for first win in two years

"'Preciate it"

Graeme Storm took the lead with Ross Fisher and Charl Schwartzel at the Porsche European Open at Golf Resort Bad Griesbach.

Schwartzel, the 2011 Masters Champ hasn’t won an event for two years, shot a flawless 66 on his way to the top of the leader board, while Fisher shot a round of the day 65 to join him. Stormy hit a 67 with an eagle on 10 to kick start his round.

"It's nice to play some consistent golf," Schwartzel said. "I've been feeling like I'm going to play well for a while, knocking on the door, but not had the momentum go my way.
"This time around, I've kept it together nicely. I've hit lots of greens, given myself lots of opportunities and made a few putts, which helps. The putting is getting better. I've been hitting lots of putts where it has missed by the time you hit it.”

Overnight leader Bernd Wiesberger managed to missed the cut after a shocking second round 76, while Hunter Mahan was also making a quick journey home after making two doubles and a triple bogey in matching him with a 76.

GMAC made a par for the ages on the 13th, holing out for a four from 100 yards after twice hacking out of the rough. Four under for two rounds, he only made the cut by one in a week of low scoring.
