Niall Horan's New Direction

One Direction star launches golf management business

One golfer that he probably won't be able to bring on board.

One Direction star Niall Horan is setting off in a new direction (that’s an unforgivably poor pun! Ed). He’s launching a golf management agency.

According to The Sun, the 22-year has set up a new business called Modest Golf Management, which will run alongside One Direction's  existing management company, Modest.

Horan is well known as a big sports fan, and has even caddied for Rory McIlroy at the par 3 tournament at the Masters, where he took an embarrassing tumble whilst on the bag.

Flat out at The Masters Par 3 Challenge.

'It’s well known Niall loves golf and has been learning from the best out on tour with Rory,' a source said. 'Now he wants to discover exciting new players and give them his backing."

Niall admitted the reason behind the extended break was no more than a need for some downtime after having spent the last four years on the road and turning out five albums.

'This time last year I couldn’t have told you what I was doing, and that is what we are looking forward to. Not having to set an alarm every day,' he said.

One Direction found fame after finishing third in the seventh series of Simon Cowell’s The X Factor. How about a golf X Factor? Sorry, I’ll shut up then.

Alarming evidence that Horan could be a Manchester United Supporter.
