Free golf for the rest of the year

With QHotels 5–day membership offer

Golfers can get free golf for the rest of the year if they snap up a new five–day 2017 QFairway membership - available at six of QHotels award-winning resorts.

The new points-based, Monday–to–Friday membership –available at Belton Woods, in Grantham; Dunston Hall, Norwich; Forest Pines, Lincolnshire; Mottram Hall, Cheshire; Oulton Hall, Leeds; and Slaley Hall, in Northumberland – costs from just £295.

But the big bonus for golfers is that no points will be deducted from their membership until January 1, 2017 – meaning any golf played for the remainder of 2016 will cost them nothing.

The five–day QFairway membership –the latest element of the country's most flexible golf membership  –comes with 100 points which may be exchanged for golf, buggy hire, driving range tokens and spa treatments at the member's home club.

Among the scheme's many benefits, players can enjoy the facility to hold a handicap and playing rights for club competitions, discounts on food and drink, shop purchases, tuition and hotel bed-and-breakfast rates.

What's more, unlike traditional golf club memberships, there is no joining fee, meaning that for a relatively small outlay keen nomadic golfers can belong to a club, with all the social benefits that entails.

QHotels' group director of golf, John Angus, said: "This new five-day QFairway flexible membership is an ideal way of getting into golf, or making the most of limited time. And with free golf for the remainder of 2016 it's a perfect early Christmas present – the sooner you buy it, the better deal you get.

"It is entrenched in the QHotels' golf ethos to try to increase the number of people playing the game - for the benefit of both the player and the sport – and it's our aim to remove the barriers that have stopped people taking up golf in the past."
