GolfPorn: Lumine Golf Club

Named ‘Europe’s Best Golf Venue’ at World Golf Awards

Lumine Golf Club, Tarragona, Spain
18th Hole
Par 4
306 yards

Situated 100km south of Barcelona in Costa Daurada, Spain’s Golden Coast, Lumine Golf Club is currently named ‘Europe’s Best Golf Venue’ (World Golf Awards) and has two high-quality golf courses, The Hills and The Lakes, both of which have played host to the European Tour’s Final Qualifying Stage since 2017.
Lumine also contains a challenging 9-hole course – The Ruins – that is laid out amongst Roman archaeological remains dating back from the second century BC, and along with The Lakes course was designed by World Golf Hall of Famer and golf course designer Greg Norman. It offers golfers of all abilities the perfect blend of challenge and reward and is an unrivalled golfing experience in the Costa Daurada.
The Hills Course 18th hole is a true risk and reward finish with the green being driveable, however, there is a large lake to the left of the green, as well as a selection of trees to the right-hand side of the fairway that pose an ominous threat to any golfers round.
Measuring just 306 yards off the tee, there are multiple bunkers and a fairway that runs off into no man’s land, where it then turns sharply to the right towards the green. The Green is surrounded by a selection of bunkers at the front edge, as well as a huge rock-face that see’s the brand new state-of-the-art Hills clubhouse positioned atop of.
Awesome!!
