The Craziest Crazy Golf Course Yet!

When golf became art

We’ve all played crazy golf, whether it’s the traditional world championship course at Hastings, with the ‘Gators' in Orlando, or at the Junk Yard course in Shoreditch, that's literally made of junk. We don't just expect windmills and clown faces anymore. But we’ve never seen crazy golf quite like this before.

Doug Fishbone is an American artist based in London, and Leisure Land Golf is one of his latest works. Put together by Doug and eight other artists, the holes are unlike any you’ll find at another crazy golf course.

Fishbone’s hole is based on the sunken Costa Concordia Cruise ship that crashed off the coast of Italy in 2012. Other holes are based off WWII bombing sites, the West’s use of African footballers as a commodity, while one hole depicts the UK as an Island suffering from immigration problems. It couldn't be more on the nose if it tried.

The art installation was originally in Venice, but has toured Europe and from Saturday until September the fourth will be found at Derby's' Quad art gallery. Check out this video we found where you can find even more about this political crazy golf course.
