Skechers Performance announced as official shoe

Of the 2017 Solheim Cup

Skechers Performance has announced its Official Footwear Partnership with the Solheim Cup, which will be held at the Des Moines Golf and Country Club, Iowa this very Friday.

Some of the world’s leading players will be taking to the fairways in never–before–seen, limited edition, Team Europe and Team USA Skechers GO GOLF shoes.

Skechers Managing Director for the UK & Ireland, Pete Youell said: “We are honoured to be involved in the Solheim Cup. The partnership with the Ladies European Tour further solidifies Skechers GO GOLF’s growth in the golf market. We are proud to have our footwear worn by many of the elite players in women’s golf and we’re sure our innovative designs and unparalleled comfort will give the players the perfect base to play their best golf.”

Team Europe, captained by legendary Swede Annika Sorenstam, will challenge Team USA to regain the famous trophy at West Des Moines, Iowa (August 18-20). While Team USA, captained by Juli Inkster, will be looking for a repeat of their 2015 triumph.

“We are delighted to join with Skechers Performance as our Official Footwear Partner for the 2017 European Solheim Cup team,” said Dae Ramirez, Events Director & European Solheim Cup Director. “The styling, performance and comfort the brand offers made the selection process an easy one.”

With the new partnership, a limited edition women’s Skechers GO GOLF Solheim Cup model has been revealed for each team leading up to the event, and a selection of both Team Europe and Team USA members will wear the exclusive style, including 3–time LET Tour winner Florentyna Parker.
