Motocaddy signs Niclas Fasth as a brand ambassador
Swede to use Motocaddy M-TECH GPS electric trolley
Motocaddy has signed six-time DP World Tour winner Niclas Fasth as a brand ambassador to represent the world’s biggest-selling electric trolley company on a global stage.
The popular Swede will use the flagship Motocaddy M-TECH GPS electric trolley, PRO 3000 Laser Rangefinder and a selection of accessories while competing in this year’s Legends Tour events. He will also use Motocaddy products when practising and playing in other tournaments.
During his career so far, he has 11 professional victories – the last coming at the BMW International Open in 2007 - plus he was a member of the 2002 winning Ryder Cup team at The Belfry. He also had three top-10 Major finishes, including a runner-up spot at the 2001 Open Championship at Royal Lytham & St Annes, a 4th place at the 2007 U.S. Open at Oakmont and a tied 10th finish at the 2002 PGA Championship at Oak Hill.
“To have such a well-known European golfer such as Niclas join the Motocaddy team of ambassadors is fantastic for the brand and we look forward to seeing him use our products on the increasingly popular Legends Tour and across various other tournaments around the world,” said Motocaddy Marketing Director, Oliver Churcher.
“The opportunity came about thanks to our Scandinavian distributor, Mitoo Sports, and together we’ll be able create some exciting content with Niclas to use across our print and digital marketing, plus social media platforms,” he added.
In preparation for the start of the Legends Tour in Austria on 6th May, Fasth – who turned 50 last week - is excited about using Motocaddy products and reaping the benefits. “I’ve heard so much about the Motocaddy trolleys and I’m really looking forward to getting started with them on Tour on some tough courses in this year’s schedule,” he said.
“They’re truly a global brand and it’s great to be working alongside a partner that is so forward-thinking in its approach but can also help my game as well. I’ve read so much about how using an electric trolley can help not just with the performance side of your game, but aide the health side too, so I can’t wait to get started.”
The luxury Motocaddy M-TECH GPS is the flagship model in the award-winning Motocaddy M-Series range and incorporates state-of-the-art design, cutting edge technology, plus trusted and reliable features the brand is known for.
A high resolution, super-responsive 3.5” LCD touchscreen display offers fast and accurate GPS information for over 40,000 worldwide courses and is added to a hand-stitched genuine leather handle, with polished chrome detailing and carbon-fibre frame styling available exclusively to M-TECH owners. Featuring the brand’s award-winning downhill control technology, it will automatically maintain a constant speed while moving down a gradient - thanks to a special single motor that offers downhill braking, coupled with an electronic parking brake. It also includes Motocaddy’s brand new Performance Plan, taking trolley technology to a brand-new level with the annual subscription package unlocking a selection of never-seen-before performance-enhancing features like full hole mapping, scoring and statistics and performance analysis.
The M-TECH GPS can also be connected via Bluetooth to the free Motocaddy GPS app to offer a wide range of optional smartphone notifications including missed calls, texts, emails and a range of app alerts, including WhatsApp and Facebook. In another industry first, the trolley also offers built-in WiFi for super-fast Over the Air course and system updates.
The most technologically advanced model in the Motocaddy range, the M-TECH GPS also includes a super-lightweight high-capacity 36+ Lithium battery and next-generation, high power 28V electronics along with other game-enhancing functions, including a USB charging port; Adjustable Distance Control (up to 60 yards or metres); a clock and round timer; shot measurement; score tracking; fully adjustable handle height; plus, nine-speed settings that enable the golfer to set the trolley at the perfect walking pace. It also incorporates the world's simplest compact-folding system and space-saving inverted wheels - allowing it to fit into the smallest car boots. The brand’s exclusive EASILOCK™ bag-to-trolley connection system removes the need for a lower bag strap.
Fasth joins high profile Tour caddie Billy Foster and Sophie Stone as Motocaddy ambassadors promoting the brand’s products across global professional Tours.
