Is the Kirkland making a come back?

Rumour is they are

According to reports from MyGolfSpy, effective March 1st, the USGA has approved a new Costco Kirkland Signature golf ball. The new ball is called the Costco Kirkland Signature Performance One.

Like the original (the Tour Performance), the Performance One has a 360–dimple cover and is designated by the USGA as a mid–high spin ball.

What is evident is that it is a different ball from the orginal Kirkland Signature, which flew off the shelves last year, and proved the huge demand for a low–price premium performance golf ball.

So we are not yet sure what we are really going to be faced with, or the critical price–point which drove its amazing success.

But clearly Costco enjoyed the success of the Kirkland Signature, and want to have another bite at the lucrative golf ball market.
