Sweden’s Maja Stark claimed a third LET win in eight months after recording a five-stroke victory at the Women’s NSW Open. In the Ladies European Tour (LET) curtain-raiser Henseleit’s victory, where she finished the tournament on two-under-par, also ensured she leads the 2022 Race to Costa del Sol.
Carlota Ciganda became the second Spanish player to win the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España as she recorded a four-shot victory. The Solheim Cup star produced a final round of 67 (-5) to give her a winning total of 15-under-par for the tournament and she joined Azahara Munoz in winning her national championship.
It is a two-way tie at the top of the leaderboard as Marianne Skarpnord and Chloe Williams both finished day one of the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open on eight-under-par. Williams, who went out in the second group this morning, set the clubhouse lead after shooting a bogey-free round of 64 which included eight birdies.

Maja Stark will take a three-shot lead into the final day of the Creekhouse Ladies Open after a third round score of 71 (-1) kept her advantage intact. Four birdies and three bogeys during her round was enough for the Swede to lead the way after 54 holes in Åhus and keep the rest of the field at bay heading into the last 18 holes of the tournament.
A mixture of new names and experienced players have been chosen to represent Team Europe at the 2021 Solheim Cup as captain Catriona Matthew picks three rookies. The conclusion of the AIG Women’s Open saw the qualification window for the Solheim Cup close and Matthew had to make her final decisions on who would make the team that seeks to defend the coveted trophy.
