2010 US Open winner Graeme McDowell posted an excellent round of 63 to take a 12 under, one shot, lead on day two of the OHL Classic at Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.

It was a great day for Northern Ireland at the final day of Canadian Open from Hamilton Golf and Country Club. Rory McIlroy shot an incredible nine under 61 to take the title by 7 shots and Graeme McDowell finished in the top ten and qualified for The Open.

It was Ker-Ching day for Graeme McDowell as he won a one-hole play off to trouser $1,116,000 at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba, in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.
It’s a blast from the past as Justin Leonard took the first round in the PGA Tour's OHL Classic. While he’s only 43, it feels like an age since we last saw former Open winner Leonard on the top of a leaderboard (it's been 2 years), but after a six under first round, that’s where he is sharing the lead with Aaron Baddeley, Shawn Stefani, and Derek Fathauer.
Darren Clarke will hit the opening tee shot at The 148th Open, while fellow local favourite Rory McIlroy is paired with US Open champion Gary Woodland for the opening two rounds at Royal Portrush, which we cannot wait to see!
G–Mac’s wife Kristin has given birth to a son, Wills Edson McDowell. The little boy was born on Monday and weighed in at a healthy 9lbs 1 0z. Congratulations from all at GP Towers.
When Graeme McDowell teed up at Pebble Beach in 2010 for the US Open golf championship, he had not previously won on the USPGA. However, he was a golfer in form having won the week before at the Celtic Manor Wales Open. 72 holes later and he stood on the final green sinking a short putt for the US Open title.
