It's been a while but the Spiv has finally come out of his gin-soaked retirement to cast his eye over the opening PGA Tour event of the post-COVID-19 era. The runners and riders will be well-rested but which one will be able to shake off the cobwebs best of all. Well, our man thinks he knows.
To Win
Bryson Dechambeau (20/1) has added a new muscle-bound physique to his technology-driven approach to the game and it seemed to be starting to pay dividends on his return from the winter. We expect the man from California to come back with all guns blazing. Course and distance winner Jordan Spieth (30/1) is also a local boy and so will not have had the upheaval of travelling. Although out of form of late a well-rested Speith is expected to feature come Sunday.
To Place
Viktor Hovland (55/1) burst on to the scene last season and great things are expected of him in 2020. A strong showing is expected from the young Norwegian as the tour returns. Another European, Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell (125/1) picked up his first European title for over five years at the Saudi International back in February. He will be full of confidence as he looks for his fifth win on the PGA Tour.
