Ok, Got it!

Brrrr,... bit parky out!

Consider yourself lucky you don't live here! Golf's frozen wasteland...

The other day I had a new Twitter follower. This is always exciting for me (sad but true). What was more interesting was that he lives in Iceland. Now, I've had the pleasure of visiting Iceland before and I have never seen a more beautiful country. The land of fire and ice is a country of extremes. Glaziers on one hand with enough volcanic energy to produces tons of geothermal pools.

Winter is always a frustrating time for golfers. The sun setting earlier, winds and rain, not to mention the annoyance of the waterlogged course. Yes, winter golf is tough for us all but spare a thought for Steinthor Sigurdsson. His Twitter account says that he is "on a mission to a single digit handicap". But his winter...and our winter are two completely different things indeed. Based on the picture on his account...we would all struggle with this.

So next time the wind throws your ball off line, gets plugged in the mud, or the battle of wind and rain defeats you, just remember...it could be worse. Spare a thought for Steinthor and our other friends in Iceland as they battle on. GolfPunk salutes you!
