Eddie Pepperell gets first European Tour win in Qatar

And We were in on the action!

Eddie Pepperell held off the challenge of Oliver Fisher to win his first European Tour title at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters. His celebration was proper old-school, hurling his cap into the air and throwing his ball into the crowd. He also handed his glove to a fan and, at one point, looked like he was going to take his shirt off and give that away too.

HIs post-win interview was brilliantly understated. When Sky Sports asked him if the Ryder Cup was now on his mind: "Naah, I just need to go home, pat the dog and have a glass of wine.."

The Englishman entered the final day at Doha Country Club level with his compatriot at the top of the leaderboard and while he opened up a three-shot lead at the turn, an impressive fightback by Fisher meant the pair were separated by a just single stroke as they went up the last.

It was advantage Fisher after two shots with Pepperell in the rough after both men laid-up but the 27-year-old hit an excellent third to set up a par which his playing partner could only match.
