Charley Hull narrowly misses out in Dubai

World Number 18 shoots closing 65

Charley Hull smashed her way through the field in the final day of the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters with a bogey-free, seven-under-par 65 but it wasn't enough to catch China's Shansan Feng who went one better than Charley, carding a stunning 64 to win by two strokes.

The tournament was reduced to 54 holes after the tragic death of caddie Max Zechmann on Wednesday.

Feng started the day five shots behind England's Felicity Johnson but made five birdies on the front nine to reel in her opponent.

Charley, who won her first LPGA title last month when she bagged the CME Group Tour Championship, was out of the traps fast at the Emirates Golf Club, making four birdies in her first six holes.

"Any chance you can get me Blair O'Neal's phone number, Shansan?"

"I kind of woke up and got into my golf game," admitted Charley. "I've been a bit lazy all week on the golf course, but I got in there and concentrated."

GolfPunk Golf Nurse Carly Booth finished 23rd after rounds of 72,71 & 73, while Sirens Blair O'Neal and Cheyenne Woods finished 62nd (+10) and T10th (-3) repectively.
