UK’s newest club set to open

And it already has a full membership

The UK’s newest golf course is set to open on Monday, and it already has a full membership.

Boundary Lakes Golf Course, owned by Ageas Bowl, will officially open to the public on Monday, July 10. The course is dramatically set against the home of Hampshire cricket club.

Whilst visitors can play at the club from just £20, potential new members will have to join a waiting list for both five and seven day categories.

The parkland par 69 course comes with USGA standard greens and several feature lakes. There’s a 171-bedroom Hilton hotel, a Sir Ian Botham–inspired BEEFY’S brasserie restaurant, a Lakeview Sports Bar and a spa.

Boundary Lakes’ brand new clubhouse is also opening, as is an American Golf store.

The Ageas Bowl chief executive, David Mann said: “We’re extremely proud to announce the opening of Boundary Lakes Golf Course. This was a major engineering achievement and we have been working hard on this project for a number of years.

Former England and Hampshire cricketer, Tim Tremlett, has been named as first club captain.

Boundary Lakes has experienced ‘phenomenal demand’ for both five and seven day membership packages, and a ballot was required to select successful applicants.
