Two way lead at the BMW International

Sergio & Henrik also in the frame

It's day two at the BMW International Open at Golfclub München Eichenried, and there is now a two–way tie at the top of the leaderboard, and Sergio and Henrik are also in the frame.

Australian Wade Ormsby shot a flawless 64 to take the first–round lead from big–hitting Belgian Thomas Detry, but things have been shaping up very differently on day two, and Ormsby could only card a 74 to drop down to T11.

Sergio Garcia has been playing his first regular European Tour event since his Masters victory and he posted a bogey–free 66 to sit two shots off the lead with Dutchman Joost Luiten and Dane Thorbjørn Olesen after day one.

But with three birdies in a row on the 6th, 7th and 8th he was heading the leaderboard with Swede Joakim Lagergren and Frenchman Joel Stalter on 9 under, until he dropped a shot at the par 4 14th to drop back off the lead.

He lost another at the par 3 17th to go back to 7 under, but we're hoping he can capitalise on the confidence that winning his first major must surely have given him, and fight back tomorrow.

He's also got some quality company to contend with as Henrik Stenson finished his second round with a 69 to put himself one shot behind the leaders and one ahead of Garcia.

With 15 players within three shots of the three leaders, it's a tighly packed leaderboard, with some form players in pursuit, including Tommy Fleetwood, who added a 71 today to his first round 67.
