Trump humiliates billionaire David Koch

By throwing out his golf partner

Heads up to anyone wanting to play golf at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach. Don't go up to the owner and try talking to him if you happen to have upset said owner by writing unflattering things about him. It'll get you chucked out before you've had time to lace up your Footjoys.

That's what just happened to Harry Hurt III, who penned the 1993 biography, Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J.

"Loving the spray tan, Nige..."

Trump was due to play with billionaire industrialist David. H. Koch, a Trump club member, and two other golfers including Hurt III.

Hurt, who plays off scratch and wears dubiously lairy trousers, walked over to Trump on the practice range prior to his group’s assigned tee time, only to suffer a tongue lashing from the president-elect.

It went something like this:

“I said, ‘Congratulations, sir,’ and shook his hand,” Hurt recalls.

“Trump said, ‘You were rough on me, Harry. Really rough. That shit you wrote.’”

Hurt says he looked Trump in the eye, and said, “It’s all true,” to which Trump rejoined, “Not in the way you wrote it.”

"Get off my property, ya filthy animals..."

Among the 'revelations' in Hurt's book was Ivana Trump’s allegation in a sworn deposition that Trump had “raped” her during their divorce battle. Trump told Hurt it was “inappropriate” for him to play at the club, and ordered his security team to take Hurt, Koch, and their playing partners back to the parking lot.

“David was appalled,” says Hurt. “He branded Trump ‘petty’ and vulgar.’ We played Emerald Dunes instead, which is a much, much better golf course than Trump International.”

In other words 'Nyaah nyaaah, nanaaanyaaaahh!'

All rather unsavoury and not, perhaps, Trumps's wisest political move. Koch's activities include 'owning' many Congressional Republicans by funding their careers. They control Congressional budget writing.  Basically, Koch is responsible for getting many Congressional Republicans elected and those Republicans care a lot more about protecting Koch's interests than Trump’s.

Back in May 2016 the Kochs declared they would not be supporting Trump for the presidency and possibly even backing Clinton. This might have had something to do with Trump's heavy handed actions. Either way, this spat will not have thawed the political ice.
