Sergio Garcia seals victory at Andalucía Valderrama Masters

For third win on the course

Sergio Garcia has won the rain delayed Andalucía Valderrama Masters for his third victory at the course.

The constant rain delays reduced the event to 54-holes, and after a magnificent second round of 64, which gave him a four-shot lead, victory was never real in doubt for his successful defence of the title he won last year.

With another suspension on Sunday the final round had to be completed on Monday, with Garcia leading by three shots after seven holes.

Lee Westwood made a charge on Sunday, but that faltered and he ended up with a 70 to tie for fifth.

Shane Lowry took up the challenge with three birdies in a row to get within one shot, only to double-bogey the par 3 15th just as Sergio was nailing a birdie at the 14th. Lowrie finished in second place, four shots behind tournament host Sergio Garcia.

Finn Mikko Korhonen was another stroke back in third, with first-round leader Ashley Chesters, who was backed at 66/1 by our betting expert Nick Fleming, alone in fourth on five under.
