Rickie Fowler's untucked Hawaiian shirt turns heads

And gets him grief from Jordan Speith & Justin Thomas

Rickie Fowler has always liked to push the fashion boundaries, and he did just that on Thursday when he sported an untucked Hawaiian shirt at the Sentry Tournament of Champions.

Our Golf Brigadier was seen quietly foaming at the mouth when confronted by Rickie’s new threads, but he is still operating in the early 19th century, so we weren’t that surprised.

But the Brig was not alone, as both Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth gave him grief over his new sartorial look.

"Well, we are in Maui, so I feel like this shirt was somewhat fitting," Fowler said.

"Puma's obviously always done a great job coming out with some cool, fun stuff, working alongside me on a few things and, yeah, I think the shirt, it fits here.

"I've always been different. I don't want to go straight down the middle of the fairway. I like to skirt into the rough a little bit, but at the same time obviously still be respectable. I thought it was fun and definitely fitting for Maui. It's not like you can really bring out this shirt in many other places but on the island. So I thought it was definitely fitting for the start of this week."

Here's Rickie beng interviewed about his new look by the Golf Channel:

It’s not hurting his golf though, as he is now T8 after two rounds, but just four shots off the leader, Australia’s Marc Leishman.
