Olympic Club selected as 2032 Ryder Cup Venue

First time for California to host since 1959

A report in the San Francisco Chronicle reveals that the Olympic Club has been selected as the venue for the 2032 Ryder Cup.

It will be the first time that the Ryder Cup has been held in California since 1959, when it was played at the Eldorado Golf Club in Indian Wells.

The Olympic Club will also host the US PGA Championship for the first time in 2028, with a formal decision expected on Wednesday.

The report reveals that the USGA had offered the 2027 US Open to the Olympic Club, but that contract talks had stalled in recent months.

The USGA then announced that Pebble Beach would host the 2027 US Open. So the announcement that the Olympic Club will host both the PGA in 2028 and then the Ryder Cup in 2032 is quite a turn up for the books.
