Most Blatant Golf Robbery Ever

Man walks out of shop with 5 gold plated golf clubs!

Xtreme you say..

It’s one thing having your clubs nicked from the boot of your car, or from out of your shed. However this theft in Detroit takes the cheeky biscuit if you ask us.

A man was seen stealing over a $1,000 worth of golf clubs by simply walking out of the shop with them. From the police report it doesn’t even sound like he tried to style it out, simply walking out of the store and into a waiting luxury taxi!

A Lincoln MKS similar to the one he was picked up in

The man around 25 years old, and 5’11”, and who was wearing a blue T-shirt, shorts and a hat was seen at Golfsmith Xtreme in Detroit.

Staff noticed the the suspect acting shifty, and he walked away when a member of staff approached him. He was then asked if he needed any help when he was spotted holding five gold plated golf clubs.  The suspect ignored the staff member and just walked out of the shop with the clubs.

Gold(light)finger's

The Golfsmith Xtreme staff managed to get the license plate of the car, but it was found to be registered to a taxi service. The thief had been picked up from a petrol station, and dropped off at a business address. ‘Jim’ as the man called himself to his Taxi driver, said he was picking up some clubs that were in for repair.

We can't believe the staff didn't stop him from walking out, but the guy had brass balls, you've got to say that about him. However with the trouble brewing at Golfsmith the store staff may have had more pressing matters on their mind. At least with the clubs being gold plated, they should be able to spot them when they inevitably show up on eBay...
