Miguel Angel Jimenez and Keegan Bradley

Fight fight fight!!!

Hyperactive American Keegan Bradley and golf’s coolest duderino, Miguel Angel Jiminez, the cigar-smoking, ponytailed free-spirit, almost came to blows last night on the final hole of their WBC-Cadillac match.

On the final hole of the match with Bradley one down, he hit his tee shot way left. While Bradley and the rules official were deciding where to drop the ball, Jimenez walked back to give his opinion on the matter which is when the chaos started.

Jimenez informed Bradley he needed to take two club lengths to drop his ball from the immovable object on which his tee shot had landed. Keegan Bradley’s caddie took umbrage and said something to Jimenez, prompting Jimenez to slowly take his stogie from his chops and advise the caddie to “shut up.” Bradley, standing up for his caddie, did that jumpy, start-and-retsart-the-pre-shot routine a couple of times before finally ending up nose to nose with the Spaniard. Cooler heads eventually prevailed, however. Jeez, imagine having a fight with Keegan Bradley. It’d take all bloody night.

Later, Jimenez told Golf Channel’s Steve Stands that his original comment was meant to be helpful since neither Bradley nor the rules official seemed to know the correct ruling. Upon showing the replay minutes later, Johnny Miller tore into the rules official for letting the argument go on as long as it did. Jimenez went on to win the meaningless match 2 up and the handshake between the two on the 18th hole appeared perfectly cordial, though apparently things started back up after walking off the green.

Reports that Bradley attempted to follow Jiminez home in his car in order to bring things to a head, could not be confirmed, as Bradley was spotted in various places in the town getting in and out of his car going through a rigorous pre-driving-routine which ultimately ended up with him going all the way back to the golf course, down the 18th fairway to where the incident began so he could make sure his original pre-fight routine was in order.

Mayweather V Pacquiao can do one!
