Luxury golf shoe maker supports Hurricane survivors

By donating 10% of September profits to Team Rubicon

To help support the disaster relief in Florida, Texas and the Caribbean, Royal Albartross - the UK-based manufacturer of the world's most luxurious golf shoes - is to donate 10 per cent of all profits until the end of September to an aid agency.

In the wake of the terrible destruction caused by Hurricanes Irma and Harvey, the money will be sent to Team Rubicon, a specialist organisation that unites the skills and experiences of highly trained and capable military veterans with first responders, to deploy quickly emergency response teams across the globe.

Royal Albartross founder Alex Bartholomew said: "It's fair to say, regardless of the distance between us, we have all been horrified by the events on the other side of the Atlantic. And, like many of us, I felt I wanted to help, albeit in a small way. So the company will donate 10 per cent of its profits between now and the end of September to Team Rubicon.

"Naturally, our thoughts are with everyone trying to rebuild and re-settle themselves and their families at this difficult time. Every little helps and I would hope other companies and corporations would consider doing something similar to assist people who, through no fault of their own, find themselves in conditions we can hardly imagine.

"We wish them well and hope the efforts of agencies like Team Rubicon can at least help in the short term."

Royal Albartross set out to create the most luxurious golf shoe ever made and achieves this goal through a marriage of classic and contemporary British design and leathers, with Italian craftsmanship.
