Irish hotel & Golf estate on the market

Yours for £20 million

One of the largest hotels in Ireland is now on the market - and it could be yours for €26million (£20.4million).

The 1,250-acre Farnham Estate in Cavan comes with an 18-hole Jeff Howes-designed golf course and a 40,000 sq ft luxury spa.

The four-star hotel is situated about 90 minutes drive from Dublin and close to the borders of Northern Ireland.

The main building houses 158 rooms and suites with woodland views. Outside, there are also hundreds of acres of woodland and countryside.

Two of the key features of the hotel are its championship golf course and spa.

The 18-hole golf course has been designed by Jeff Howes, one of the best-known golf course designers in Europe.

Jeff is a native of Canada, but has been associated with a number of course designs in Ireland, including Fota Island, The Heritage, The Hermitage and The Island.

According to Tom Barrett, Head of Hotels & Leisure at Savills, the hotels is 'one of the largest and most profitable hotel resorts in Ireland'.

Time to reach behind the sofa again we guess……
