How to make a ten

On the 18th at Sawgrass

Sawgrass may be famed for its 17th, but the 18th has teeth as well, as India’s Anirban Lahiri found out on Friday to his cost.

He was looking all set to make the cut, having navigated the 17th with a par, when he stepped onto the tee at the 18th.

But then things started to get wet, as he found the water off the tee, and then found it again with his second, and third shots.

Lahiri ended up with a 10, and the weekend off. But he's going to be snowballing the positives, probably whilst he's reorganising his personal real–estate.
